Turıng, kıng's college'a seçildiğinde henüz 22 yaşındaydı. 33 yaşında, ıı. Dünya savaşı'nda nazi enigma kodlarının kırılmasında gösterdiği başarılar nedeniyle kral vı. George tarafından britanya imparatorluk nişanı ile ödüllendirildi. Yaşadığı çağda bir suç olarak kabul edilen eşcinselliğini açık bir şekilde dile getirmiş olması en sonunda turıng'i kendi ölümüne sürükledi. Şüphesiz vakitsiz bir ölümdü bu. Henüz 41 yaşındaydı. Davıd boyle, bu çalışmasında, turıng'in dehasının ve onun olağanüstü kariyerinin altında yatan gizemi gün ışığına çıkarıyor. |
